Every Amnaswardrobe piece begins with the toub — the wide, wrapped length of fabric that has dressed Sudanese women for generations. It is one continuous piece of cloth, unstitched, worn differently by every woman who ties it. That simplicity is the heritage: no two ways of wearing a toub look quite the same, and that has always been the point.

We work with hand-loomed and finely woven fabrics sourced for drape, weight, and how they move — cottons and chiffons for warmer wear, richer weaves for occasion pieces. Exact fabric composition is listed on each product page, since it varies by collection and piece.

Heritage, to us, isn't nostalgia. It's a living reference point: the toub as it was worn by our mothers and grandmothers, reinterpreted for how we dress now — in Khartoum, in the Gulf, and across the diaspora.
